the S24 can be viewed at www.yachtworld.com I think it is a great boat for 10K. from the way you are talking this might be a better boat for you. I compared the two on the thread S24 v- S25 when I orginally asked for comments. I do agree with the gang on the survey issue with one exception. BE THERE! while the survey is being done and ask LOTS of questions. also insist on a sea trial as part of the survey and of course BE THERE! one point on surveys, IMHO I believe in surveys only when the price exceeds 10-12k more or less. anything priced under that just have an additional 5k stashed to deal with the problems you find and deal directly with the owner. you didnt mention or I didnt catch your sailing experience. my emial is bayourbrez@yahoo.com would love to see the pics of the S25. I have not contacted the broker yet. I am still on the fence as what to do. I am thinking about a refi on my home. if I do that, I will have alot more money available for the boat. remember the old adage "all boats are a compromise". both in features and affordibility. I have owned sailboats all my adult life (with the exception of the last 3yrs since Hurricane Ivan sunk my Catalina 30) I once got into a conversation with a guy who said " sailing was a rich man's sport". I let him know that I bought a Venture 24 many years ago for $1200 and the memories made with the kids on that boat was just as valuable as the one's made on the Catalina 30 that I gave $38000 for! bottom line, just get out thar! the world looks different from the water side.
