Been sailing my new to me Fox around Everglades City Florida and am having a ball. I think I'm becoming a Cat sailor. Today I motored out for 45 min through the Indian Key Pass and then sat sail. The wind was a steady 10 MPH from the North West. That's no big deal to most people but for a river sailor use to winds bouncing off cliffs thats a big deal. A steady wind blowing one way, WOW. When I was ready to head in I sailed the pass back to Everglades City. The same on I motored out on. I had to sail around little keys and loved the way the boat responded.
Before I'm done in Florida I hope to sail in Panama City and Pennicola.
I'm in a WIFI coffee shops posting this and am still swaying from the after effects of ocean sailing.
