(Rahn Lawton, "Legato" (Suncat) and a Fox and 2 Hobie Adventure Islands) I think that perhaps motorcycles & sailboats (small power boats & airplanes too?) are all manifestations of the same disease. My progression went like this: 1970 bought new 1969 BMW R-60-US, 90k later bought new BMW K-100RT & put 50k on it.(mostly work miles) Sold out while three kids went to collage. 2004 bought 1999 S-23 & intend to keep until Lake Michigan runs dry. Neither son was interested in getting a motorcycle bad enough to save money for one. Apparently they associated bikes with me, & whatever Dad is into can’t be very cool. (Now one is an accountant & drives a Honda sedan & the other flies F-16 Vipers for a living and dives a Volvo SUV) PS Allways full face helmet & leather when riding. PFD, harness/jacklines sailing.
