Matt, I posed the question early on when I first learned of the compression problem with the seawards. why not just have a compression post to transfer the load directly to the keel? no one responded, and after looking at a few pics I realized the post would be right in the middle of the door way. Last week another guy looking at S25 that I had been looking at emailed me some pics of the boat. guess what? they had made a compression post in what looked like the same type of stainless steel tubing you would use for a roll bar in a car. they had had it bent to follow the opening in the door to keep it out of the way. it looked like a simple and relative cheap fix compared to all that I have been reading about reinforcing a bulkhead. just a thought.
