Any Recommendations on Outboard Brackets?

I have an elderly friend with a bad back who is looking to replace the outboard bracket on a 25 foot sailboat, and put a brand new 2009 Mercury 9.9 4-stroke on the back of it. I know with the 4-stroke there is more torque, so you need a more robust bracket, than a 2 stroke. There are a myriad of choices out there, and I was curious if anyone else has gone through this, and what bracket they decided on?
