unless you think you have other issues. It's good if you have a good barrier coat underneath it all. Ablatives are mant to come off gradually and then be touched up each season - been doing ours that way for several years with no probs. If it is peeling off completely in some spots it sounds like it was possibly not applied properly... FWIW
