Keep it simple if all you need is more antifouling protection, maybe lightly sand and clean the areas where flaking occoured for better adhesion, but otherwise, tape off the waterline and have at it.

We're getting alot of paint built up on the bottom and will have to strip and re-coat one of these years, when I do, I'll put on a good barrier coat but till then, I'm keeping it thin and keeping it simple. I went two seasons since the last painting and very little goo on the bottom... I'm going to try and get one more year out of it this season. Hope I don't regret it.
