26rk mast raising system after buying the boat used. I also requested instructions, so Hake sent a DVD of rigging the lazy jacks and using the mast raising system. From the DVD, I would like to add that Nick emphasizes that with the mast raising system the mast needs to be able to swing back and forth from 1 to 5 degrees each way as it's being raised/lowered. My impression is that the little bit of slack is necessary to avoid overstressing the rig, which seems to be primarily the spreader attachments.
