In Response To: The single axle was always a concern of mine (Paul 1989 S23 "Half Moon", NJ)

I had a fall off complete in the lot a 5 mph. I could only image a speed. I do not take care of my trailer. I figure if I ever really move the boat, I will need a new axle ( the guys that put the wheel back on told me that) and bearings and tires.

My concern was getting tags. MD law is 3000lbs and above need dual axle and breaks. Since I live in PA. I might have better luck there. I have no plan to move it this year, but keep the option open depending on the economy and if I have to bring the boat home.
