Al has many good ideas. http://www.okbayou.com/
Also the part on mast comperssion. Note that in the artical John says if the boat is riged properly this problem will occur. ( I take properly to mean tight.) Well the manufacturer says to hand tighten the shrouds.
I use my boat for gunkholing. Im a crusier not a racer this boat is more for comfort on the water. Hake was continualy improoving the 25 untill the 26rk came out which replced the 25. So the newer the boat the more improvements it has.
Water geting into the rudder has been discussed on the forum.
Severe rust/corrosion at the forward keel hull joint has been noted on some boats.
On the bright side In the late 90s they raised the cabin roof I think 2" for more head room.
Others will give more first hand info. Some times it takes a few days to catch up on the forum.
In the pic this is where to look for compression signs. The screws would be slanting down, cracks around the arch. The picture is taken from the V berth looking aft.
