Had some time on my hands today, stopped by Swamphouse Marina just to see how they faired Ivan & Dennis. Not to many boats left in the marina almost no sailboats. The marina used to be crowded with many sail & power.
There is a section for trailor storage and I saw a boat looking alot like a SC 26. The bulb keel looked alot like what I have seen in the photos and on John's boat. The boat was worn and scuffed. I saw no hull markings and climbing aboard was not a good idea. I did check the transom and saw the numbers. SCS and some numbers. I think the last two were 79.
Only one thing that did not match what I remember about the 26 boats. This boat has a inboard motor with the prop on a shaft under the hull. From what I saw of the thru hull for the shaft it looked professionally fabricated.
Does anyone know if from the factory SC built inboard boats?
I have seen a few SC 22's around over the years. So far I have yet to get the owners to show an interest in our Owners Association and message boards. There have been others that I never had a chance to check back on.
