Mike,
DS2 has summed it up pretty well.
On Saturday, there is a very loose race with whoever wants to partisipate.
Weather wise, plan on warm but also plan on rain too. There have been some thunder storms that show up and we have gotten a little rain out of them.
an anchor is a must. most folks nose their boat up to the shore and use the anchor on the shore line. I guess you could stake it insted of an anchor. I myself use an aft anchor to keep me off the shore and then tie off between two boats that have pulled up to the shore and anchored; I have to leave my keel down so that's why I a little off the shore line.
Dinghy isn't needed but if you'd like to bring one, go ahead; I might bring mine so as to help me get a shore without getting wet, seeing as though I'm off the shore line a bit more than the others.
We could use as many as two nights at a marina, depending if we go north to Echo bay and then back south to Temple Bar. We usually make that decission Saturday afternoon when all the captains meet after the race.
Well, that's all i have right now but if you have further questions make sure and ask.
Dancing shoes are a must..... hehehehe
