Keel cable --again !

Tell me if you think this is better or worse. I checked my keel cable and found it in good condition but some previous bozo had used galvanized clamps and they were ready to let loose. Secondly, he had only run the cable through the hole in the keel and clamped it on the other side of the hole (not continuing up and making a loop)--- So I fixed it as suggested in several postings I've seen and then went on to other things which included refreshing my knot knowledge. That is when I came up with the simple and probably already thought of idea (from the knot that goes twice around with two half hitches. It seems to me going though the keel hole twice with the cable and using one clamp would really take the strain off the clamp and you could safely rely on one clamp. Everything should be snugged up (the loops) before installing the clamp.

I didn't do it this way yet since the boat is in the water already but will probably do it next season. ANY remarks appreciated.

Thanks Crewd
