Not on my boat, but our US 27. It had some small blisters (not a lot), under 1/2" in size. We stripped the boat down, ground and filled the holes, barrier coated her. We wanted a barrier coat on her.

My current boat is already barrier coated.

It is not a pleasant job. It takes a lot of time. We were particularly careful to get the hull faired out well. We had a 10' 2 man long board available to us and used it for the final sand down. A pnuematic stick sander is very handy for the initial sanding. One thing to remember is you can NOT sand out a low spot, you can not feather it out. You must over fill and sand down to flush.
