Nice Charles, as to docking under sail

I do that all the time. Where I tie up at the docks is usually just at the edge of the wind so as I approach the breeze drops off and I can drift up to the dock. It always gets approving nods. What I don't get is why the others don't do it. It sure makes landing nice. No noise, no smell. There is one race boat that has to dock under sail, no motor. Of course most of the time they end up paddling in.
