..be advised that on occasion the anchor line will get caught up in the prop of a boat. On a fishing boat in the fast running freshet of the Columbia or Willamette rivers it can result in ending up stern to the river and the boat sinking as the current rushes over the blunt transom. Just had this happen a month ago with the loss of one life and very nearly more. Sailboats with their better transom/cockpit arrangement would be less likely to do this.
