Thanks everyone. I had no idea what I had started, but again thanks.
We've previously owned a Columbia 30 and Alberg 35 and my wife (I love her dearly) was never totally happy sailing. A month after a tropical vacation she is, however, always thrilled to go sailing again. I don't hope to solve the problem, just going with the flow.
It has always seemed to me that fun was inversely proportional to size. More hours in the kayak that we carried on deck than the sailboats themselves. Maybe it has to do w/ the ease of use. What are the times required to rig and launch? Everyone?
Bigger is nicer, however we will be towing from Colorado to Maine, Florida, Vancouver, etc., hence the moderate size.
We've done lots of kayak camping (by the way she has always done fine in her own boat. Maybe it's my driving) So, I look at the cabin for sleeping only and a total canvas enclosure as a must.
I hate to admit, but I have also considered.... a small power boat.
Keep the ideas coming.
Roger
